This can`t be right. According to many sources, Israel has had in inventory the track-mounted MLRS system for many years, sale approved by Congress. I assume this is the rocket system being referenced. It was designed to be used against SAM and other anti-aircraft installations. Delivery was a LONG time ago (supposedly). Questionable it would be effective against Katyusha launchers with no delicate components or crews in the open, anyway. Multi-tube Katyusha launcher trucks were detected and destroyed in WWII and in Korea by conventional aircraft strafing (guns and rockets) at low level. If the MLRS approved by Congress ages ago was never delivered, Israel for some reason never complained. Whats going on? Or...why wasn`t it used if it was in inventory? Or...did the IDF quietly decide it didn`t need the MLRS. This sale was (supposedly) many, many YEARS ago.
