| The legality of use of cluster bombs or rockets in the battle field depends totally on the situation. These cluster missiles are absolutely banned if the battle field involves a populated area. South Lebanon is by no means at present a depopulated area. Huge number of Lebanese civilians could not make their way to the north. This is because of lack of roads, bridges -destroyed by Israel- or vehicles. Another thing is that some civilians insist on staying in their properties because they had similar former bad experience with the Israeli occupation in the 80s & 90s. After more than one month of the hardship imposed on the Lebanese civilians, Israel still have not let the International Humanitarian Aid to reach them; neither has Israel accepted a temporary truce of 72 hours. What appeared to be the Remedy will turn out to be the Poison for Israel. |
