| If one advocates a state that excludes a certain group -- in this case, Arabs -- that essentially brands them non-citizens and rejects the possibility of incorporating them into the state, how can they be `traitors` to that state? They aren`t in Eitam`s Israel in the first place. I suppose some more tolerant Israeli politician could legitimately accuse Arabs of being `traitors` -- but given the Israel he stands for, for Effie Eitam to make such an accusation is the rankest hypocrisy. |
