| Assuming that Israel does in fact have a nuclear arsenal, it is relevant that they are the only country that has developed nuke weapons but never tested them (both Pakistan and India have conducted tests, and even North Korea is reported very close to conducting live nuke bomb tests). I`m not an expert, but I have read that US nuclear weapons engineers are very concerned about the reliability of US nuclear arsenal, given the long time since any tests are done. Those that claim to know say that it can also be done with computer models, but requires very fast computers and still need data from live tests to validate computer models. The issue raises all sorts of interesting questions, if one gives it a bit of thought. |
