I`m surprised by the double-talk of this article. As far as I can see it, the whole West-Bank was owned by Arabs before 1967 and I have not yet heard of any contracts showing the sale of all of this property (except perhaps the almost negligent percentage mentioned in your article as "jewish-owned").
In other words the so-called "state-owned" land was confiscated (or stolen) from its owners, be they individuals or the community of inhabitants.
The state of Israel is clearly violating the rights of the Palestinian population. Even unilateral regulations will not change this situation. |
