Annan`s not an evil politician (or, at least, that`s how I feel about him), but he absolutely has a certain cowardice, lack of spine, ideas and power.
To come up with this kind of a remark, this late in the day and so tentatively is a sorry sign of the fact that he KNOWS he`s been wrong for all these years, and that clinging to his throne has superseded the real and urgent needs of victims of human rights abuse the world over.
Their shouts of pain and anguish are the sounds that Annan will have to dream to, for the rest of his life. |
