Darfur, because of its PROVEN huge oil and natural resources reserves, is receiving huge attention from the US and some others, not because big daddy cares about human rights.... if it did, then it would not have been caught red handed in Bagram, Abu-Ghraib and Guntanamo. The shock of such abuses shocked the whole planet.
As to Israel excesses and war crimes, they are in fact being protected by the same US that sheds crocodile tears about Darfur. The US is the ONLY nation that has constantly and repetedly (ab)used its veto to prevent any condemnation of the Tel Aviv aparteheid regime and its war criminals. It is an obstable to peace and justice. |
