With all respect, I disagree. As I told Bimmer, this is not a "wish list" but a suggested Israeli negotiating position. Second, Israel in 1948 was compliant with all of the five points I mentioned. Re: your points. The vast majority of the allegedly "illegal" annexation of land ended long ago. Last I saw, Israel got OUT of Gaza. The tax-money is not a permanent sticking point - Israel was paying it until relatively recently (when Hamas was elected). End corruption of government officials? Now who is expecting the impossible? One can`t get the US, France, the UK, or even Switzerland to do that. My point being: It is more important now - at least for Israel, but should be for you too, - to focus on what kind of Palestinian state there will be, than on where, precisely, it will be. It should be no one`s priority to midwife a Taliban-style Islamofascist state, in which lack-of-rights, honor-killings, and terrorism, are the norm; whether in Palestine or anywhere else. |
