| The fact that Israel considers itself to have failed in that it didn`t wipe out Hezbollah on the cheap doesn`t mean Hezbollah won anything at all. As Churchill said about Dunkirk, victories are not won by successful evacuations. Hezbillah failed to inflict serious damage upon Israel, and brought ruination upon Lebanon. No victory there. But in the fantasy world of Arab politics, where catchy slogans substitute for victories, it will have to do. |
