Israel - 2 guys are (unless they`ve been killed in cold blood) still somewhere in Lebanon, less than 150 Israelis were killed, lots of new trees had to be planted to replace the burned out ones, a few houses had to be rebuilt, and the Israeli economy has already more than recovered. Lebanon - Hezbollah hasn`t dared do anything since the "victory", more than 1,000 Lebanese are dead, no trees were replanted (but you can bet lots were burned), people got a "generous" $10,000 check to rebuild the houses that got blown up because Hezbollah built rocket launchers in them, and if the Lebanese economy rebounds, it will be the construction industry`s rebuilding all the bombed out infrastructure that leads the way. If Hezbollah "won" anything, it may be that they got a corrupt Prime Minister booted out, and showed how easy it is to get a union organizer with no legitimate credentials to make stupid choices as the head of a Defense Ministry. What does it take for these guys to think they LOST? |
