I live with my family, so I demand security. My daughter screamed so I shot a stranger in my home.. He was in my house because he needed to feed his family, and he wanted food. He couldn`t buy the food, because he lost his job. He lost his job, because his company went bankrupt. His company went bankrupt, because I led a protest that drove it out of business.
To avoid this in the future, do I dwell on what the man could have done different, in order not to frighten my daughter. Or do I accept that my protests against his company led to this tragic situation.
What must be fixed is the root of the problem. The actions that led to this event. Just fix the root, and everything else fixes itself.
The root of the problem is the displacement and denial of citizenship to over a million Israeli Arabs. The right of return, properly handled, solves all of Israel`s problems. Nothing else needs to be talked about. |
