| Really. In your post #15 you stated "prior to 1948" and "in the 19th century." Now you claim you were talking only about the "mid-nineteenth century"? No matter, the Jews in Jerusalem had the same lack of political representation throughout the entire nineteenth century. (Marcus, Jerusalem 1913, p. 52). A small number of prominent Palestinian families controlled the sale and purchase of land during this entire period and that is why they owned most of it, surprise, surprise. (Ibid., p. 101). |
