Dershowitz has made anti-semitism into a career. I have not read Finkelsteins` book nor have I read the book by Dershowitz, but if the point Finkelstein makes is that anti-semitism has been overused to stifle criticism he is entirely right. Anti-semitism has been adoitly used by Israel to stifle its critics. But, even if one doesn`t want to agree with that academic freedom demands that alternative positions deserve to be heard. Dershwitz is a disgrace to academic values.
