Honestly! Who makes up this rubbish?

Israel has been trying for months to dampen down red-hot tensions with Syria, and to sooth hair-trigger Syrian nerves, and so we are NOW meant to believe that the IDF turned to Olmert and said "we`ve got information on a Hezbollah shipment going thru Syria" AND that Olmert cried out to the heavans: "Halleluiah! Call out the F-15s! NAIL IT GOOD!"

Yeah, and Kosher Pigs Can Fly.

Such a weapons shipment is not worth the risk - the HUGE risk - that attacking it will provoke Syria into going to war with you.

It might be worth sending planes over to photograph it. But not to attack it.

This story is rubbish: unnamed American sources? Yeah AIPAC, I would suggest.

Unnamed sources in the region? Yeah, the IDF media liason centre, I suspect.

That there are Honkin` Big Craters in the Syrian desert is not something that I will dispute.

That there are pulverised rocket launchers at the bottom of them?

I. Don`t. Think. So.
