What a shocking response from Roxana (such a nice name). Yes what happened to Anne Frank was all too common under the Nazis. Hiding, writing a diary - and then dying in a Nazi concentration camp. Anne Frank is icon of the terrible events of this era and the tree, though ultimately subject to nature, is therefore iconic of something from that time. You can agree or disagree whether the foundation of Israel was a proper response to the Nazi atrocities but please don`t make such posts. And whatever you believe was an appropriate response, after 60 years please think about suggesting something contructive.
