| The French people will regret their election of Nicholas Sarkozy. I was amazed to see him turn up drunk as a skunk at a press conference after a meeting with Putin. A few months in the Elysee Palace, where he will move among golden chandeliers and be waited on by liveried servants, will make him go as mad as a hatter (as it always does to French presidents). Soon he`ll think he`s a king, and in such a flawed character this will be deeply unfortunate for France. |
