| The Qassams are deeply unpleasant for the inhabitants of Sderot, but they`re not getting any worse. There is no escalation. The IDF has been conducting all sorts of minor operations in Gaza over last months and if they continued at that level, no problem. This is an escalation, and an escalation before peace talks is a pointless provocation. Pointless, because it won`t stop the Qassams for more than a week or two at most, but it may stop the peace talks forever. Why not laucnh the IDF offensive the day after the peace talks, when there would be time to calme everyting down before the next round of peace talks? Why the day before? It`s stupid. |
