None of the Arab or none of Moslem states with the exception of Turkey has been or came close to a democratic rule.From the extreme of Islamic laws,Sharia in S.Arabia and Iran Islamic State through a range of authocratic kingdoms and dictatorships in Egypt all the way to blod thristy regimes of baath in Syria and Iraq under Saddam Hussain Arab and Moslem states are a disgrace to humanity.I spoke to educated Moslems in Canada(PhD`s in enginnering,Science)about the lack of democarcy in Moslems staete and they always answerd : Oh, we have been like that for 1000 years as if it is acceptable for Moslems to live under Sharia Laws. They even pushed hard to introduce Sharia in Canada.[Can.Islamic Congress lead by Prof. El Masry and CAIR-CAN].
To remind Arabs the detention laws which allows Israel to keep terrorist suspects and terrorist without trial is a law carried over into the Israeli legal system from British Law.US has Guantanamo.Israel,UK and USA are democracies.Arab State are not! |
