Joe-when you say "let`s give it a shot" who are you referring to? The two principal actors of the plan, Palestinians and Jordanians, are massively opposed to the plan. There is no point in proposing a plan rejected by all Palestinians and Jordanians, unless you intend to implement by force.
This plan is so disconnected from reality it is almost shocking. The Jordanian government already views Jordanian Palestinians with suspicion and will never agree to further tip the balance in Jordan by making more of them Jordanian citizens. And the Palestinian people are not going to simply give up the nationalist movement they have been building for the past hundred years.
Further, "promoting Arab emigration" is clearly a euphemism for ethnic cleansing, as this emigration is obviously not going to be voluntary. |
