Al Qaeda have also in the past fired Katyusha`s into Israel from Lebanon. The PFLP has fired Katyushas from Lebanon into Israel.
Those immediately assuming it was Hezbollah do not have a full understanding of what is going on in the region.
Or are conveniently forgetting the release of a video produced by Al Qaeda`s media wing who has warned Bush there were traps waiting for him.
Remembering of course that the radicalisation of young muslim men to do terrible things in the name of Islam starts with them seeing footage of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Al Qaeda need a continuation of this conflict to aid recruitment.
That is why Bush is pressing hard for a final solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. We cannot defeat Islamic fundamentalism without solving the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. When Ariel Sharon linked the 9/11 attacks with terrorism in Israel this was always going to be the likely result. |
