I do agree with your statement .Additionally
Additionally you sometimes need it for survival like in the incident when you overhear an arabic conversation between your taxi driver and another passenger about how to kill you (that really happened). It gives you time to act. Same thing when you get lost on your way in the Galilee or to the West Bank and you can read Arabic street signs |
