Let`s be accurate, this was not truly a strike but rather a boycott of students here in Israel. We whine, whimper, and cry foul when academics in England attempted unsuccessfully to boycott our academic institutions, but willfully have boycotted our own for 90 days. A full semester has been lost and those students who served and began their college career after three + years in the army, now must go an additional semester to make the lost time up as well. The university system should be ashamed of itself and never again complain when they are faced with boycotts from overseas. They are worse to their own in the end run.
