I am not sure what you see as an opportunity in terms of making peace with the Palestinians. Your second sentence concerns me greatly. I think it is even more unrealistic than the first given recent history (this century till today).
It reminds me of the approach the U.S. has taken in Iraq. Let`s work with these guys even if things fail left and right, because we will win hearts and minds.
No doubt your intentions are great. But I suggest you forget about acceptance. The Saudi`s have said they would accept us if we become Arab Israeli`s and give back more land than we can afford. I don`t get the feeling that they or any other Arab state wants to see a Jewish State in the ME. |
