Just look at every war that was ever won. When a country was stronger, it conquered the whole population, reducing ennemy armies to nothing. This applies from the ancient times all the way to 60 years ago in WWII.
Now, look at what`s going on... Whenever you got the upper hand, the only way to win and have a long lasting peace is to beat all opposing armies one by one. If you decide to stop half way because the UN tells you to, there is no way you can achieve anything. Just look at war has become now... people expect wars with no innocent deaths, with respect to enemy troops, with no crossing too far over the border, and only using ammunition that doesn`t cause too much damage... This is war for god`s sake!!! All hits are allowed. Do you think Hezbollah hesitated a single moment to use the best weapons they had? NO!!! |
