Clearly the Jewish consesus is unchanged. Kill as many Pals as possible and as a violently demonstrative display of strength as possible. That will teach em. They`ll learn not to bomb us that way. Problem. Israel cannot engage in the kind of violence that would effectively strike terror into the hearts of Pals because it would involve something like what Saddam did the Kurds and Shites. Murdering half a million people just isn`t Kosher. So Israel is left with the ultimate strategic dilema. Using force that is repressive and creates resentment but not fear or respect in the occupied population.
