| Those who mock Egypt`s apparent inability to secure its border with Gaza (and prevent smuggling) should recall that they are limited to a total of 250 police in the Sinai due to the treaty with Israel. Egypt has requested an increase in the number of security forces allowed but Israel continues to say no. In effect, Israel is in part responsible for the continued border breach. |
