...every time I hear about the holocaust these days there is only mention of six million Jews and no mention of the millions of Roma, Poles, homosexuals, handicapped and others who also perished at the hands of the Nazis.
This is a denial of their deaths and the holocaust should be taught fully or not at all. There should also be lessons on Israel`s occupation, Apartheid in SA, the slave trade, the Armenian genocide, the Ukrainian genocide, countless genocides in Africa, the genocide of native Americans, the genocide of Australia`s aborginees and so forth, the British Empire and so forth and much more. No one subject is more valid than the next, other than to those personally affected and we should all remember that. |
