| When Christianity became the State Religion of the Roman Empire, it was necessary to blame someone for nailing Jesus besides the guys who did it. It was soldiers of the Legion VI that did the deed, under Roman law and with a Roman form of execution. What was politically correct necessity in the 4th Century C.E. is no longer what is politically correct in the 21st century C.E. Times change. |
