Iran is evincing a clear policy of encirclement.
Syria, Hizbullah and Hamas are, or soon will be, in position to launch missile attacks upon Israel from the north-east, north, and west, respectively. And off to the east glowers Iran, which is developing a guided missile capability that has very recently given even Putin`s Russia cause for concern.
If anyone is wondering whether, or why, Israel decided to develop nuclear weaponry and delivery systems, their curiosity may well be answered the first time Iran tries wrapping its proxies` tentacles around the Jewish state.
Israel`s foreign policy toward the existential threat of Iran is conditioned by, and reflexive of, the Holocaust: "Never again".
