| Per the latest evaluations by oil experts (non-Iranian BTW), within about five years, Iran will either be able to use all the oil it pumps for internal energy use or export it BUT NOT BOTH. So basically what the Iranians are doing is converting to non-oil based energy so they can sell their future oil on the open market for high profits. Iran is doing the fiscally prudent thing of using current income to invest in future income. So you are correct in that AT THIS MOMENT Iran does not "need" nuclear energy, but the sooner they complete the conversion, the longer the oil in the ground is going to provide money for all Iranians. If only the US was looking out for its future like Iran. BTW - Most other countries are ALSO converting to nuclear power! |
