| Although I am for true coexistence , I find this article as a rude awakening for Israel. Not since 1948 , did Israel embark on city planning for a large segment of its society ( Arabs compromise 20 per cent of Israelis. Why this sudden revelation?? How come we do not hear a squeek from those who supposrted the creation of jewish settlements only for the past 60 years?? Where are the modern isareli society advocates who want to see such progress. Why don`t they stand up and demand equal treatment for all under the law , ? Why don`t they reject that the state is jewsih but rather toall of its citizens? Why do not they question Israeli public funding policies which are diproportianate an discriminatory against the Arab citizens , tax paying citizens of the so called democrtic state??? these are the questions that one should demand answers to , rather than hearing bellicose appologies for Israel and accusations of anti-semitism and national chauvenism.... |
