It is easy for me sitting securely in Canada to criticize the government for negotiating with terrorists but I can`t help but worry that Hamas is seeking respite not lasting peace. I don`t have to guard my children against daily rocket attacks so I can`t say, "see it through". Especially when the IDF seems so reluctant to engage the enemy. However Arafat and the PLO were almost withered away when Israel gave them legitamacy by officially recognizing them. They revived and now are strong. Hamas is hurting now and Israel should not legitimize them. Hamas exploits weakness and will see Israeli good will as a chink in its armour not an olive branch. They will see confirmation in the effectiveness of their methods
