| Israel seems to believe its own propaganda that, somehow, the chism between Gaza and the West Bank is permanent. That, in short, the Palestinians in the West Bank aren`t going to care if Israel goes gangbusters on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Utterly Crazy. Q: If Israel invades the Gaza Strip and takes out every armed militant it sees will its security improve? A: No, it will get worse. Q: Why? A: Because Abbas will throw in the towel in the West Bank, and Hamas will take over the Palestinian leadership in all of the occupied territory. Oh, Harel didn`t think of that? Israeli military analyst = tunnel-visioned idiot. Because, of course, there is no military solution to this; there is only a diplomatic solution. And Israel is planning on slamming the door on that in a most emphatic manner, and is too stupid to know that. Third intifada, here we come........ |
