Back in 2002 when hundreds of Israelis were killed in Hamascide bombings the IDF returned to the West Bank cities. That really means that Israel has no choice but to submit to the demands of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah. But the IDF put an end to the wave of Hamascide bombings.
What there is not is a diplomatic solution via negotiating with Hamas. Hamas offers hudnas which are traditional Islamic subterfuges to seek a ceasefire when things are not going well for the Islamic side and then resume hostilities when the situation is more favorable for Islamic gains. This goes back to the time of Mohamed`s wars against the Jewish tribes of Arabia. Why should Israel agree to this?
