I am no fan of just about any decision that Kadima has been party to since coming in power, but in this case, Livni`s decision to ignore the next "Durban" conference is spot on.
We, a people of dignity have no place in the sewer of a conference "against racism", which ended up being the epitome of racist anti-israel ideology in itself. The UN should be ashamed of this disgusting and distasteful abuse of their resources which has been hijacked by the anti-Israel lobby. Racism in the world is rife and this joke of a forum is the last thing the world needs to help tackle it. If world racism is analogous to a deep arterial flesh wound, this conference is analogous to a putrid rotting microscopic band aid to put on top of it and let everyone think that things will be alright.
It is a real shame. The UN has some huge tasks which it could be dealing with, and world racism is a noble cause to tackle. Regretfully the UN are a part of the problem and not the means to a solution. |
