The Israelis left Gaza and have since had over 5000 missles fired across the border specifically at civilian targets.
One can go on and on about how the Israelis control the borders and therefore haven`t left, but it didn`t need to be that way. The missles started immediately upon the withdrawl. If you remember, the synagogues of Gaza were destroyed within days of the settlers leaving.
The Israelis left Lebanon (every square inch according to the UN at the time) and were still attacked across the border by Hezbullah in the summer of 2006.
You are fantasizing if you really believe that there is some specific chunk of land that the Israelis could withdraw from and then find total peace and acceptance in the region. |
