"Pressure" will not work. What is required is that Israeli troops control every single inch of Palestinian territory from which a rocket could be launched to hit Israel.
Yet if Israel puts as many soldiers where they can prevent the launch of rockets, those soldiers are far more susceptible to attack than the citizens of Sderot and far more critical to the defense of Israel.
I hear what the IDF Chief is saying, but I am not such an idiot as to be comforted by his bravado. |
