| Many of these comments are very eloquent, and go right to the heart of the latest conflict, well said. Hamas, sensing Israel`s vulnerability, has been threatening and boasting since the disengagement especially. They assumed, (wrongly it now appears), that Israel was a paper tiger, impotent. They grinned when Israel targeted militant vehicles and open fields, where the Kassam launchers had just fired salvos into Israel. They recalled how 2-3,000 Hez kept the mighty IDF at bay...inflicting casualties on the Israeli forces, most especially the last 36 hours..and also on over 52 soldiers..as well as tramatizing 1m Israelis in the north. With the additional rockets (Grads) it`s obvious they felt strong enough and secure enough to begin hitting Ashkelon. Now they are beginning to feel Israel`s wrath and might. The question really is, will Condi, the EU and UN force another cease fire prematurely, BEFORE, Israel can finish the job? How will Israel stop the smuggling? |
