and hopefully they will ALL break free from their political silence...as it should be...in this their adopted country. and you`re right! because no matter what their religion is, the bottom line is that it should play no part in any discussion on this issue. there should be no division along religious lines within this country...which THRIVES on its ethnic diversity...in which iranians play an important part.
on a side note...it`s my opinion...based on personal experience and observations...that in general, most immigrants to this country cherish it and value what it offers them, far more so than many americans who were born here. patriotism is more than the beating of chests and the bumper stickers of bigots. it lies in certain core values which many who are born here have completely missed. |
