And this message goes to the Palestinians as well. When will you learn that violence only reaffirms the Israeli right wing perspective that Palestinians are just animals who kill? Violence strengthens the right wing, and causes many of the Israeli peace doves to question their support of the Palestinian right to self-determination. In other words, violence does not help your cause, it only hurts it.
Palestinians need to learn from history: the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, Ghandi, the U.S. Civil Rights Movement of the 60`s and 70`s - all eventually won the rights they deserved using non-violent methods.
Or, continue this course and end up like the Native Americans: eventually you will have your own autonomy, but by then you will be living in poverty with rampant alcoholism and drug abuse, running casinos just to survive. |
