You said: "Under international law Israel has no right to attack anyone in Gaza." Fact: Under international law Israel has EVERY RIGHT to attack Gaza as long as Hamas et al continues to rain Qassam rockets on innocent civilians in central Israel. Every nation has a duty to protect its citizens against terrorism.
You said: "As the illegal occupying power Israel has the obligation to protect the residents of Gaza...Why not just do the right thing and end the illegal occupation" Fact: Israel ended its occupation of Gaza 3 years ago. Not one Israeli soldier is stationed in Gaza.
You said: "If Israel really ended the occupation all the violence would stop." Fact: Hamas has declared over and over again they will never recognize Israel. So contrary to what you say, ie "all the violence would stop" is a falsehood - Hamas` violence will stop only when the State of Israel is wiped off the map.
Shulamit you should learn the facts before speaking - then you won`t look like such a fool. |
