Egypt are not friends of Israel.
The leadership recieve huge backing from USA because USA is affraid of the majority of the population, which includes a large amount of fundamental islamists that USA does not want in power a bit like in Saudi Arabia. Egyptians are virulently anti israel generally . The muslim brotherhood comes from Egypt and is really popular there and they are dedicated to Israels destruction like Hamas is.
So Israel and Egypt are no more friends than Israel and Syria in reality. JUst explaining it.. |
