Jews lived in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem, almost continuously, from the 8th century B.C. In 1948 there were about 2000 Jews living in that quarter. They were besieged by the Jordanians and forced to leave en masse. The Jewish quarter was ransacked by the Arabs who destroyed ancient synagogues and despoiled THE Jewish Temple.
What about the ?Mulim Quarter?. The striking reality is that until 1929 the quarter was actually called the ?Mixed Quarter? because of the Jews, Muslims and Christians who lived there. In 1929 there was a dispute about access for Jews to the Western Wall. It escalated. 133 Jews were killed and nearly 350 injured, almost all by Arabs. Arabs were killed as well, 116 and about 230 injured, virtually all by the Brits.
The PALS are pulling the wool over their own eyes & the eyes or the world about Jerusalem. History also show that Arab extremism and violence of Jews pre-dated Israel. It existed from the beginning of Islam. |
