| The German people have the mark of Cain on their foreheads - and it will take many generations (certainly not just 2 or 3)to erase it. Merkel should, of course, address the Knesset in her mother tongue. She also represents a new kind of German who would be appalled at what the Nazis did. At the same time, it will be jarring to hear the Knesset reverberate with the same tuetonic language that produced "Heil Hitler" and "Juden - Raus!". |
