We can silence Gaza in about 3 hours (Lebanon may take maybe 6). Remember what the Americans did in Afghanistan? In Iraq? The Russians in Chechnya? NATO (including Canada) in Serbia? It is called 2,000Lb bombs. You carpet bomb a country like NATO did in Serbia in the course of 2 weeks, killing 20,000 civilians in Belgrade and the problem is solved.
Except that we are not war criminals like these countries. Believe it or not, we actually try to save our civilian enemies` lives, often sacrificing the lives of our own soldiers.
And by the way, Palestinians have at least one option: to compromise and recognize Israel, but they passed on that one, choosing instead more `productive` option like sending suicide bombers and shooting Katyushas at Sderot. |
