For all the fans of blood bathing, it is unnecessary.

Israel already has stocks of the Phalanx (sea) system. The difference between it and the land version is the ammo and the platform it sits on. All Israel has to do as a stop-gap measure is pour some concrete outside Sderot and Ashkelon, but some ammo and hook up the electronics and radar. Phalanx then can keep the rockets from landing. (Do remember to turn it on.)

If Israel is determined to also stop the launching, rather than just frustrate it, allow NO SETTLERS and relearn counterinsurgency. It will be bloody for both Gazans and Israelis. Don`t delude yourselves.
