Some thoughts from an old agronomist:
1. Check geographic information systems to determine soil types and profiles along the Egyptian border. Avoid areas with sandy soils - identify areas of clayey soils or tightly packed regolith; tunnel in these areas. These are more stable and therefore much less prone to collapse.
2. Spend your energies on something more productive than digging holes in the ground - make peace with Israel instead. Stop firing rockets into Sderot and Ashqelon. You`ll be amazed how accomodating other people can be when you`re not trying to murder their civilians.
