"Avoid areas with sandy soils - identify areas of clayey soils or tightly packed regolith" (MV) First, forget about regolith. Practically all soil along the sea shore of Israel is mostly sand, w/ layers of soft clay (near ground level), and sandstone (called kurkar). In Gaza it`s mainly sand over the short 10 km of border w/ Egypt. BTW, softish clay is just as dangerous as sand if not more so: very poor tunnel construction material. Your next advice (to spend their energies on something more productive) is much better... |
