Title:defining Messianic
Name:Yaakov
City: State: Israel
To help you out with the terms, Christian is a noun and can also be an adjective. Messianic Jews are not part of "Christianity" and therefore not "Christian." However the Hebrew term Meshichi means a follower of Messiah. Since the Greek "Christ" is the English "Messiah," then all believers in the Messiah would be "Christians" in the adjective meaning of the word. That`s how the word was started. Christianity did not begin until the early fourth century C.E. and all those that followed Yeshua (Jesus in Greek) were called "followers of the Messiah" or "Meshichi`im" in Hebrew. That`s where the term comes from. Hope that helps. BTW, in that context, Habad could be called "Christians" before the early 4th century.
