My problem with donating my organs is not whether or not to do it - I would gladly donate anything that would help other people.

My problem is if I`m almost dead and some impatient surgeon jumps the gun before i really am dead.

The article above is a case in point. I only know from what was written (and trust that the AP got the facts correct). The guy was brain dead, but either the sensors were not put on the right points on his head, or the monitor simply did not show what was really going on.

He was brain dead, now he`s alive and recovering.
Very scary thought if you or your loved one are the body where the plug is about to be pulled because somebody said you were "brain dead".
